Half done the rustic wash cloth!

I want to make it square, and lengthwise it's about nine inches, and right now it's sitting at about 4.5 inches. I really like working with these variegated colors, because it really makes cool patterns. The only downside is that I don't really have control over it! Still, I really like this so far. I hope to get it done tomorrow!

Okay, so I am attempting to restart my brain. I'm revamping how I do things because I have been feeling like I've been running on super-low empty lately. As such, for a little while at least I'm cherry picking smaller projects from the calendar out of sequence so that I can feel like I'm making quicker progress and also not feel as much pressure to do things. I've started a new job and I'm moving, so things are a little hectic right now.

Anyway, here is my new project!

The Rustic Washcloth. Designed by Benjamin C. Krudwig  from Benjamin Krudwig Designs. The website provided isn't working. So it's a washcloth (obviously) that I'm making out of the last of my Bernat handicraft cotton. I think this will be the last project that comes out of it.

No crocheting today. I went to see Guardians of the Galaxy volume 2 and it's too late to work anymore. No spoilers, but I really liked the movie. Crocheting will pick up tomorrow.

The Candy Hearts Blanket is (almost) done! Just have ends to weave in and then I can tick it off as being completed. I'm pretty stoked about that.

It looks so pretty now that I don't have to do any more crocheting on it! I'll probably finish off weaving ends tonight and tomorrow, and then get back to the lacy shawl to get it done. May is going to be a bit of a busy month, but I still hope to get some projects completely finshed.

I've gotten two sides done with the candy hearts blanket border. It's going faster today, so I hope between now and tomorrow I'll be able to get it done and get started on another project. Or finish the lacy shawl. Either one. I am so behind on the calendar, though. I'm not sure that I can get caught up after this.

So I started the white border, but I've got a bunch of work to do today, so I decided to do my blog update now rather than waiting until later. Hopefully I'll have more time later on to get some more done, but it's honestly not high on my list of everything I have to get done.

It's looking really good, though. I like the contrast of white and pinks on the border.

I have completed the pink border around the blanket! Now I just have to do the white border and another pink border and I'm done!

I am very pleased that I am so close to getting done. Hopefully I'll be able to get lots of crocheting done tomorrow.
